Experience:

Hi, my name is Silvia and I am a professional fashion and costume designer and dressmaker, based in Manchester (England). I love creating bespoke bridal gowns, special occasion dresses, costumes, and hand crafted street couture. I design my own collections of sustainable fashion, and hold two university degrees: Fashion design and industrial pattern cutting (Madrid, Goymar 1992) and Fashion design and styling (Manchester, Salford University 2000). I have traveled the world making fantastic creations, as well as lecturing fashion design at University.

I design and lovingly hand-make every garment from scratch, for each individual customer, from my workshop in an old mill in Manchester city center.

I also offer bridal gown alterations and up-cycling, as well as tuition on dressmaking, sewing, and fashion related subjects.

My work has been featured in Vogue Italy among other fashion magazines, has been shown at parades, has been worn by celebrities, has been on TV and newspapers, exhibited in galleries and fashion shows, and worn by performers in festivals and the circus.
