Description
This beautiful scarf features a detail of the artwork Sea View, about 1826, by Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775 – 1851), part of the Scottish National Gallery Collection D NG 881.
This work is part of the Turner in January exhibition which displays the Vaughan Bequest, bequeathed to the Galleries by the distinguished collector Henry Vaughan, span Turner’s career, from his early topographical wash drawings to his atmospheric sketches of continental Europe in the 1830s and ’40s.
Hand printed in the UK. This pure silk scarf has a translucent ethereal quality with a hand rolled edge.
