One of the most popular silk fabrics in our range. As its name implies, it is satin on one side and crepe on the reverse. It has a wonderful drape and is used for summer tops, evening wear and luxurious lingerie.

We recommend that you hand wash your fabric, scarf or finished garment in tepid water and a mild detergent. Once rinsed, gently squeeze out the excess water (do not wring when wet) and lay flat between towels until you are ready to iron. Iron damp on the reverse with a fairly hot iron.
We do recommend all fabric be washed separately before use, this will allow any excess dye to be removed and shrinkage to occur before cutting.
Store silk in a dry/dark wardrobe. Do not store silk fabric/clothing in plastic.

Lovely products, the vibrancy of the colours of fabric here are hard to beat elsewhere. Considering the difficulty getting really brightly coloured clothes and fabrics in the UK Beckfords silks are highly recommendable (Why the UK market seems to mainly insist on boring, dull, pastels, greys, muted colours I’ll never understand…)
Colour is outstanding and quality the same. After ordering this fabric I noticed that it stated that it was on back order. I fully expected a delay in its delivery however it arrived with the other fabrics within a couple of days.
I love the color and the quality!
