Description
Medium weight silk crepe-de-chine is an ideal fabric for making camisol, tops and shirts, as well as summer dresses. It has a lusterous and even texture and excellent drape. This structure is achieved by using tightly twisted weft yarns woven across the warps. Silk crepe-de-chine is relatively easy to sew and does not have a problem with fraying or slipping. It is our fabric of choice for the printing of dress material.
We recommend that you hand wash your fabric, scarf or finished garment in tepid water and a mild detergent. Once rinsed, gently squeeze out the excess water (do not wring when wet) and lay flat between towels until you are ready to iron. Iron damp on the reverse with a fairly hot iron.
We do recommend all fabric be washed separately before use, this will allow any excess dye to be removed and shrinkage to occur before cutting.
Store silk in a dry/dark wardrobe. Do not store silk fabric/clothing in plastic.
Very prompt service for both sample and order of fabric.

So beautiful, lovely quality, excellent value. Purchased for my daughters wedding dress. Lovely flowing drape, using Habotai silk for lining.
Wonderful quality silk and a joy to sew with.
