V&A – William Morris Honeysuckle silk scarf

Description

The V&A’s history is enmeshed with the career of William Morris, an influential artist and designer who’s renowned for his wallpaper and textile patterns.

One of these patterns is Honeysuckle of 1876 – a furnishing fabric in our collection that Morris block-printed onto cotton, and which we’ve recreated on hand-rolled silk as an exclusive V&A scarf.

Bordered with Bruce James Talbert’s Stafford motif, this sumptuous accessory is imbued with the rich colours of the English countryside.
